How to find vendor requirements on LinkedIn

By the DialClient team · Updated

Short answer

Search LinkedIn posts (not jobs) for the phrases buyers use, such as “looking for a vendor”, “vendor empanelment”, “need an agency” or “RFQ”, sort by latest, and skip job openings, candidates and vendor ads. Reply within hours with a short message that answers the exact need. DialClient does this search automatically all day and saves each real requirement with the post link and the contact details the buyer shared.

Step by step

  1. Use buyer phrases, not your service name. Buyers write “looking for a vendor”, “need a partner”, “please share quotes”, “empanelment open” or “RFQ”. Combine them with what you sell, for example “looking for security agency”.
  2. Search in Posts and sort by Latest. In LinkedIn search choose the Posts tab and sort by Latest. Requirements are time-sensitive: the first good replies usually win.
  3. Remove the noise. Skip job openings for employees, #OpenToWork candidates, bench hotlists and other vendors advertising themselves. Only keep posts where a company asks for an outside supplier.
  4. Save the post and the contact. Keep the post link, the author’s profile, the date, what they need and any email or phone written in the post.
  5. Reply fast and specifically. Answer the exact need (quantity, location, deadline) in two or three lines, add one proof point and a clear next step.

Which phrases do buyers use?

Across categories the most common buyer phrases are: looking for a vendor, looking for vendors, vendor hiring, vendor empanelment, need a supplier, need an agency, please share quotations, RFQ, RFP, tender, recommend a good … and any leads for …. Add the product or service after the phrase: “need laptops on rent”, “looking for a corporate gifting vendor”, “need a web development agency”.

Why most manual searches fail

LinkedIn search mixes requirements with job ads, candidates and promotional posts, and new posts appear every hour. Searching by hand once a day misses most of them, and checking 50–100 posts to find one real requirement takes time. That is the work DialClient automates: it searches with hundreds of buyer phrases, filters out jobs, candidates and ads, and keeps only real requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Is it allowed to contact people who post requirements?

Yes. A public post asking for vendors is an invitation for vendors to respond. Reply politely, answer the need and do not spam the same person repeatedly.

How many vendor requirements are posted on LinkedIn?

New ones appear every day across categories such as staffing, IT, web development, gifting, security, events and logistics. DialClient has extracted more than 10,000 such posts.

Can I do this without a tool?

Yes, with the phrases and steps above. A tool like DialClient saves the time of searching and filtering by hand and catches posts within hours.
